Just the Start
Centerboard Bread is something I have wanted to do for a long time, but it took years of practice to get the product to the right place and just as long to make the necessary capital investments. The centerboard provides a boat with essential stability, and bread does the same for our daily diet and routine. There is nothing like waking up and starting your day with a toasty loaf of hearty, sourdough bread!
Bakery
I make sourdough bread for friends and family using an extended bulk fermentation process (multiple days from starter feed to final bake). My interest in bread began in 2019; I became fascinated with the science and creativity of the fermentation process and found it intoxicating to create a from-scratch product with taste noticeably superior to anything being sold in the local supermarket. My desire to start a small business and create a variety of products for the local community was inspired by an apprenticeship at Blue Grouse Bread in Norwood, CO in early 2022.
